Open Space Khartoum - INSPIRE Project

13, Apr, 2023

INSPIRE Project is a research project funded by the Research Council of Norway under the FRIPRO programme. Led by senior researcher Katarzyna Grabska, the project is hosted by the Peace Research Institute in Oslo (PRIO) and connected to the PRIO Centre on Culture and Violent Conflict (CCC). INSPIRE studies the role of artists and creative practice in and after violent conflict, exploring what inspires and motivates those engaged in creative practice and how artistic expressions inspire and move others into action for social justice.

The workshop in Khartoum aims to create a collective space of reflection and creation that relates to the themes explored in the research project and relevant to Khartoum and Sudan as an important part of the wider project.
