The Muse multi studios was commissioned to create an inventory of The French Institute of Khartoum\u2019s collection of Sudanese arts, collecting data on them and arranging a first set up for the event of the Open day on saturday, 12th of November, and a guided tour of the collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Institute\u2019s gallery has a demonstrated history in supporting, exhibiting and documenting artist\u2019s work, with a collection of over 120 artworks that goes back to 1996. Our selection of artworks to be displayed in the Institute\u2019s open day, seek to highlight different periods from the collection and hence different periods of the art scene in Khartoum. It includes works by local and visiting artists to the gallery, giving tribute to pioneer artists like Mohamed Otaibe, Islam Kamil, Salah Ibrahim, and Issam Abdalhafiz with highlights from contemporary artists that are setting strong feet in the current Sudanese art scene including Yameen Abdualla and Hani Khalil. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The selection features as well a collection that references the [Black and White] signature exhibition by the French Institute. The annual exhibition that includes 15 artists displaying artworks of only Black and white visuals, originally initiated by Alamin Osman. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
